Role Profile Job Title: Senior Manager Personal Loans Marketing Level: 4 Reporting to: Head of Acquisition - Loans Job Title: Marketing Manager - Preference Account Level: 3 JOB PURPOSE To own, develop and deliver the Preference Account marketing strategy with the aim of trebling profitability within 5 years. The role holder will be responsible for the deployment of profit led marketing campaigns to drive acquisition, activation, retention, spend and loyalty of Preference Accounts. As the owner of the relationship between the marketing and sales teams the role holder will ensure the appropriate pricing, proposition and promotion strategies are in place to deliver planned business objectives. • THE ‘WHAT’ • Development and deployment of the 2006 - 2011 marketing plan • Deliver marketing strategies to maximise acquisition, activation, retention, spend and loyalty • Co-ordinate and impart best practice with Credit Card colleagues • Work with Risk and Pricing teams to maximise the value of existing customer data and to ensure that appropriate response, activation and retention strategies are developed and implemented • Collaborate with colleagues across all levels in all areas of the business to ensure business objectives are achieve • Contribute to new product development by collaborating with key areas to ensure the proposition meets customer, market and profit demands • Report on the effectiveness and costs of all marketing activity with recommendations on how future activity will be improved • Present and communicate proposed strategies effectively to senior management

Role Profile Job Title: Marketing Manager - Preference Account Level: 3 • THE ‘HOW’ (SKILLS – KNOWLEDGE – EXPERIENCE) • Experienced in developing and implementing profit driven marketing strategies within a consumer credit environment • A strong marketing background with a minimum of 2-3 years experience of credit card or store card markets • Experience of managing a marketing budget • Have a proven track record of delivery of innovative marketing campaigns that influence customer behaviour • Ability to manage, develop an exploit internal and external relationships • Highly numerate, able to spot opportunities and implement solutions to reverse adverse trends and maximise positive trends • Motivated by achieving results and adopting a hands on management by willingly getting involved in the detailed coaching and motivation when and where it matters • Ability to communicate and negotiate confidently and effectively at all levels • Ability to switch/adjust priorities with little notice to meet the needs of the business and communicate this to the people that need to know • Ability to deal with unexpected set backs by identifying alternative solutions • Ability to resolve conflict and look for win win situations • Have the passion, vision and energy to develop and drive through an exciting and radical expansion programme
