  1. Supercharge your knowledge with Museum of Flights, Seattle The Museum of Flight is spread on 12 acre as a cultural landmark in the northwest United States. This non-profit private air and space museum is located at Boeing field at a distance of 10 minutes from the downtown, Seattle. The Smithsonian Institution fosters this Museum as one of its affiliate. This Museum of Flight is the largest private air and space exhibit to more than 85 historic air and spacecraft, interactive exhibits, flight simulators, family and educational activities. This museum attracts a footfall of more than 400,000 visitors yearly. There are numerous workshops and events that are conducted round the year since the museum is dedicated to serving learners coming from all ages and catering to needs of all audiences. Over 140,000 students every year are attracted as the attendees through Challenger Learning Center, Aviation Learning Center and summer camp along with outreach programs that reach out to Washington and Oregon. The history of the Museum of Flights in Seattle started with the restoration of a 1929 Boeing 80A-1, which was discovered in a landfill in Anchorage, Alaska. The museum's education programs grew significantly with the building of a Challenger Learning Center in 1992. This interactive exhibit also includes a mock-up NASA mission control. Charles Simonyi Space Gallery includes multisensory exhibits that articulate stories from the visionaries, designers, pilots, and crews of the Space Shuttle and other space related missions. Its ground features Personal Courage Wing (PCW) with 28 World War I and II aircraft from several countries including Germany, Russia, and Japan. The museum’s structure of gallery is built in a space frame lattice structure and holds more than 20 hanging aircraft. Enjoy the best views on Boeing Field and Mt. Rainier from the Museums Tower.
