  1. January 21, 2011 Ideas and Content “Frankenstein (or, the Modern Prometheus)” Day 4 A thesis sentence tells the reader what you intend to write about in the essay! What idea do you think the author is trying to prove? What is a thesis statement? Write a thesis statement for the essay. Evaluate this potential thesis statement. Frankenstein has had as many different interpretations as it has had retellings, and the story’s themes are strong enough to hold up to every interpretation.

  2. Student Goal • Revise paragraph identifying and explaining a common theme found in at least three of the writings we have read by Alvarez. • Read “Antojos.” • Finish Exam!
