Preference may be given to veterans who qualify under state and federal laws and regulations. Adult Eligibility G N J Eligibility for WIA Title I Services WC Policy 3.0 Adult Category • Must be 18 years of age or older and provide proof of age. • If male, must comply with Selective Service registration requirements. (www.sss.gov) • Must show proof of citizenship or eligibility to work in the United States. • Must provide documentation of Social Security number. • Must provide proof of residency in Southern Nevada. Family Life Center

  5. Dislocated Worker Eligibility G N J Eligibility for WIA Title I Services WC Policy 3.0 Dislocated Worker Category (1 of 4 categories must be met for registration) 1. An individual who has been laid off or terminated, or has received notice of termination from employer 2. An individual who has been laid off or terminated due to a plant closure. 3. An individual who was self employed but is unemployed due to general economic conditions. 4. A displaced homemaker. Family Life Center

GOALS G N • To increase employment, as measured by entry into • unsubsidized employment; • To increase retention in unsubsidized employment six • months after entry into employment; • To increase earnings received in unsubsidized • employment for adults and dislocated workers; and • To enhance customer satisfaction for participants and for • employers.   9. Employability & Work Readiness G N J 5 Trainings include: Family Life Center 1 Resume Development 2 Skills Analysis (Transferable Skill Sets) 3 Workplace Basics 4 Customer Service (Satisfying Your Internal and External Customers) 5 Employer Expectations

Internships and Training G N J Placements May Include: Family Life Center 1 Social Service Agencies (including Health and Human Services) 2 Construction Sites and Property Management Sites 3 Warehouse & Manufacturing 4 Hospitality /Casino Sites 5 Offices (That Provide Customer Service Opportunities)
