PSIC Grant Update • Grant modification approved for all projects by NTIA • UCAN grant modified • Not enough time for all 4 training videos • 1 video will be completed • Remaining balance added to Iron County project • Performance period ends June 30th • Additional 90 days to close out grant • Projects needing NEPA compliance approval • San Juan County • UCAN- Iron County (New project) 2

  3. IECGP Grant Update • 2009 Grant • Performance period ends May 31st 2012 • Additional 90 days to close out grant • 2010 Grant • Performance period ends May 31st 2013 • Several projects have full balances remaining 3

  4. NPSBN Update • Interoperability board created • Held last meeting last week • Recommendations due by May 22nd • FirstNet board appointed by August 22nd • State planning grant guidelines available by Aug 22nd • $135 Million available • 80/20 match required (but can be waived) 4

  5. Broadband Subcommittee • Nominated members • Kevin Rose (SWIC) • Travis Sylvester (DTS) • UPD Representative • Steve Proctor (UCAN) • Chief Chris Burbank (SLCPD) • Bill Harry (VECC) • Paul Patrick (DOH) • Chris Siavrakas (DOT) • Rural representation needed 5

  7. TICP Update • Uintah Basin and the Southeast region completed • Awaiting signatures from elected officials • TIC Plans in progress • Mountainland • Five County 7

Wyoming Interoperability • High speed chase from Wyoming into Utah • Suspects were wanted for attempted homicide and were armed • Vehicle spiked by Summit County Deputy • Armed male flees on foot • Perimeter set up by Wyoming and Utah officers • Utah officers could NOT communicate with Wyoming officers • Setting up meeting in June • Key players from both states will be participating 8
