  3. What is the benefit of being perceived as a PROFESSIONAL at work? Those that are perceived as professional employees are: • Respected by others • Much more successful in the workplace • Move up in the company

  4. What are the dress rules you should follow to look professional?

Business Professional • Ladies • Pant/skirt suit • Dress pants and nice blouse • Jacket over a nice blouse with dress pants • Dress shoes either flats or heels (no open back or open toe) • Panty hose or dress socks • Gentlemen • Dress slacks, shirt and tie • Suit with dress shirt and tie • White shirt • Shirt, sweater and slacks (& tie) • Dress shoes with dress socks (no tennis shoes, everyday socks or WHITE socks)

Grooming means keeping your body clean, hair brushed, nails trimmed, and facial hair trimmed. • Poor grooming or hygiene can hurt your image at work by sending a message of: • laziness • disorganization • of being unhealthy • a lack of respect for yourself
