  4. Ground Breaking Ceremony • MARK YOUR CALENDARS: On September 22, 4pm at 4548 SHEPPARD AVE. EAST, Toronto East SDA Church will be having their official ground breaking ceremony to celebrate the beginning of the new church construction.  Join us as we celebrate this long awaited event. 

  5. “Shop-Til-You-Drop” Day Trip • The Philadephia Social Committee is sponsoring a bus trip to Erie/Grove City, PA during US Thanksgiving weekend on Sunday December 1.  Coach leaves Philadelphia Seventh-day Adventist Church (65 Grand Marshall Ave) at 6:00 am and returns approx. 9:00 pm.  Contact Kester Griffiths (416-707-3261), Shirley Bucknor (416-438-1282) or Luke Brown (416-700-7197).

  6. "School of Hard Knocks" CASTING CALL  • Meadowvale Seventh-day Adventist Church youth department will be presenting a play, entitled “School of Hard Knocks”. We are looking for young people to audition for one of ten characters in the play as well as extras, musicians and volunteers. Auditions will be held at the Meadowvale SDA Church (5920 Montevideo Rd, Mississauga) on Sept 14 & 21 @ 8pm. 

  7. Master Guide Survival Camp • September 27-29, in Douro-Dummer, ON.  Activities: backpacking hike, survival training, stargazing, horseback riding, native shelter construction, etc. Registration fee: $28 per person (including bus fare). To register, go to www.ontariomasterguides.ca.

  8. Pathfinder Leadership Convention • October 11-13, in Ottawa. Theme: "Dare to be Faithful." Guest speaker: Pastor Ron Whitehead, CYE/Forever Faithful International Camporee director. To register and for more details, go to www.ontariopathfinders.ca .

  9. Leadership Certification Training • November 16, 9-4pm. This training is designed for local church family ministries leaders and their teams. The cost per leader is $25, which includes materials and lunch. Earlybird registration is $20 (ends Oct 14). Register by Nov 4 at www.adventistontario.org

  10. “A Time to Heal” Day • st your job? Lost your health? Lost a loved one? Join us for a day of healing on November 30 from 9:15 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. at Apple Creek Seventh-day Adventist Church, 700 Apple Creek Blvd., Markham. Our afternoon workshops will offer coping methods, resources and support. Our morning praise service is an opportunity to rejoice and give thanks with those overcoming these challenges.

  12. Pathfinders • Plan now to attend Pathfinder Camporee in OskKosh, Wisconsin August 11-16/14. We have already begun registration. Tickets are going fast! $195 U.S. Volunteers are needed to accompany the club. See Elaire Andrews or any Pathfinder Staff.

  13. Women’s Ministry Convention 2014 • Registration has begun for the “Free Indeed 2014” North American Division Women’s Ministries Convention. The convention will be held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida September 25-28, 2014. Speakers include Dan Jackson, Dr. Ella Simmons, Katia Reinert, Adrienne Townsend. Enjoy musical performances by Kelly Mowrer and Gale Jones Murphy.

  19. TEYN LOFT • Calling all youth, ages 13+! The TEYN LOFT will be held on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Friday of every month from 7:00 – 9:15 pm at 25 Channel Nine Court (McCowan Rd south of Sheppard Ave E).
