  8. Domestic Violence Protection Orders

  9. PROPOSAL 6 The law should be changed to enable the police to issue a Domestic Violence Protection Order of up to 14 days duration, to prevent a suspected perpetrator of interpersonal violence from entering the address of the victim and/or to prevent contact with the victim.

  11. Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme Evaluation • ..I do agree with the need for Claire's Law, I was one of the first to apply and it should be rolled out nationally. It's important for people to know the risks, but I only wish that I could have been told more detail, what disclosure I was given I already knew.“ • I am very satisfied about how the police dealt with me during the process and i think it will help me a lot in making an informed choice about future partners" • 'having been in an abusive relationship before I was very satisfied with the way the police dealt with me on this occasion [taking everything very seriously] and feel that this new process is beneficial to women at risk from DV' • 'would definitely recommend any friends or family with worries to make a Claire's law application , and if I was worried about anyone I would go with them to make application ' • 'did not tell me anything I did not know but put my mind at rest'
