  14. Revolving Door SAFE, QUIET, SMOOTH… A TIME-TESTED CLM ADVANTAGE

  15. Revolving Door • Still unmatched in the industry, the CLM revolving door seals directly to the rotating basket. • Eliminates product damage caused by spacing between the basket and the door. • Eliminates need for face plate seals that require constant adjustment and that may necessitate a difficult and time consuming face plate removal for seal change-out. • After the cycle, the Revolving door is lifted to the top of the dryer, leaving a fully unobstructed basket opening for dryer unload and load.

  16. Door Guard Door Guard for Chain Hoist Loading Protects Door Edges from Chain Hoist in the Open Position

  19. Approvals Optional Approvals Industrial Risk Insurers (I.R.I.) I.R.I. is an Equipment Qualification with No Formal Label or Certificate. To Meet the Specification, the Dryer Must Include the Following. • Second Gas Blocking Valve • High & Low Gas Pressure Switches • Vent Valve to Atmosphere C.S.A. Inspection & Approval (Approval Label) C.S.A. inspects each machine during testing in our factory. Once approved, a CSA label is applied to the machine, either for the U.S. or for Canada.

  20. NEW Roll-up Door Now Available for all CLM Dryer Models - Load Door Rolls Up Over the Dryer Top - Improved Access for Sling or Shuttle - Decreases Shuttle Aisle Space Requirement

  21. Basket Drive

  22. Basket Drive • Improved Roller Life • Allows rollers to be positioned outside of the heated drying chamber, lowering or eliminating roller flat spots • Eliminates stressful friction roller drive through direct belt drive • Optional Automatic soft-start of basket start-up and basket rotation reversing is easy on all drive components Long roller life means less down time and reduced maintenance costs

  23. Basket Drive – Simple Belt System • A Self-Adjusting Tension Device is Constantly-Variable Keeping V-Belts Properly Adjusted • Tough Main Belt has a Ten Year Warranty – with proper maintenance

  24. CONTROLS

  25. Our simplified control panel includes the MicroCommand III Color Touch Screen PLC and a few push buttons for tilt position, door position & other manual functions, along with an emergency stop button.

  26. Command III Dryer Control • Sophisticated Color Touch-Screen Display • Simple Operation • Select “Choose Dryer Program” then Select the Program #. • It couldn’t be any easier.

  27. Command III Control High-end Technology… • Touch screen color display for simple operation • 96 fully programmable formulas • Formula control of inlet and outlet temperatures, basket reversing and automatic door open and tilt functions. • Built-in diagnostics for problem detection • Text in English, Spanish or French – configurable through supervisor menu – able to change from one language to another at any time • Available automation with shuttle conveyor system • Available data management communication

  28. Command III Control Behind the magic… Precise control of a modulating gas system is achieved through programming engineered to limit the amount of fuel usage, while maintaining accurate temperatures. Simple algorithm setup allows the user to create and run a formula by time and temperature. When the user feels comfortable with the formula, he/she simply goes to the “Edit Dryer Formula” screen and makes that formula an “Auto Dry” formula. An algorithm then uses the formula history to determine when to terminate the heat cycle. Simple Auto Dry adjustments are included in the edit screen.

  29. Command III Control Behind the magic… All programming functions are password protected, with different programmable codes for supervision, maintenance and for the operators. A “Down Time” alarm will notify the supervisor of excessive down times. This is a programmable function that cannot be modified by the operators. The diagnostic screens DISPLAY all active and inactive inputs and outputs and are complete with full descriptions and wire numbers. A dryer program log is included to report the program history, including any down time alarms. Three (3) languages are installed and available at any time. Simply use the supervisor password and select between English, Spanish or French.

  30. Efficient Heating Full Flame Spectrum Modulating Burner • Forced-Air Burner with Combustion Air for Efficient & Powerful Heat Production • Command III PLC Precisely Controls Modulation and Temperature • Flame Turns into Drying Chamber to Avoid Pulling Flame into Basket

  31. Efficient Heating • Don’t let the high burner ratings fool you. These efficient burners make for quick drying and cost-effective operation. • The CLM uses a precise modulating system to control and limit the gas input. The high burner ratings allows for rapid heat cycle termination. Both functions lower gas usage.

  32. CLM Gas Train • Simple and Compact is how best to describe our high-end gas train. • Gas management is handled through a unique ‘Dungs’ valve arrangement feeds the modulating Maxon burner. • Factory Mutual (FM) approval is standard, while Industrial Risk Insurers (I.R.I.) approval is optional.

  33. Cross-A+is Airflow • Cross-Axis means full force airflow across the entire drying area from the top down and in an uninterrupted jet stream from the front to the back (not from just 1 or 2 places at the top). • Consolidated’s high volume blower has 15%-30% greater air volume than other models for very good air penetration into the load. Clean-off of wheel is automatic for each cycle. • The extreme basket diameter provides a superior drop area for the best hot air penetration into the tumbling load. The result is quick and efficient water removal.

  34. Some competitive dryers use an airflow design called “Axial Airflow” that brings hot air into the open ends of the basket. With only 2-points of entry, the flow of air is like a “V” shape into the bottom of the basket. Air by-pass around the load is prevalent with this design due to required gaps in the faceplate seals and the elimination of basket wiper seals. The need for seals around the four support rollers is also an added maintenance issue.

  35. CROSS-A+IS AIRFLOW CLM’s Cross-Axis Airflow brings dry hot air into the basket in a continuous jet stream from front to back, moving from top to bottom, for the best air-to-goods penetration possible. Top Front Back Bottom

  39. What’s In The Box? • Our field proven Low NOx burner will cut emissions and lower fuel usage… and it’s standard equipment on TG models. With “Tumble Green” dryer badging, your customers will know that water conservation isn’t the only environmental issue that you’re on top of. • Optional Low NOx burner with SINGLE DIGIT emissions available. • The outside air makeup enclosure around the burner permits ducting of inlet air from outside the laundry. Using outside air permits the dryer to operate efficiently by giving it ample incoming air, so the dryer is never starved due to negative plant pressure. • CLM’s exclusive “EnerClad” insulation combines a densely woven sound deadening material with a vapor barrier that has zero permeability. The result is a high and low frequency killing barrier that also greatly reduces radiant heat levels… all with a very professional finish.

  40. Two-Step Variable Speed Basket Drive Uses Command III Control Intelligence for Proper Material Drop Through the Basket Center Proper material drop gives the dry hot air full access to the tumbling materials. Fine Tunes Dryer Performance!! Includes a Component Saving Soft-Start Low NOx Emissions and Other Beneficial Features

  41. Two-Step Variable Speed Drive Step 1: Allows the basket rotation speed to be programmed for products of varying weight. Step 2: Provides a rotation speed change during the cycle to prevent lighter goods from clinging to the inner basket as they become dry.
