  2. KXRP Actions Status Next meeting 19/01/12 15.00, Cubitt House.

  3. Executive Summary Safety: • AFR 0.172 and FWI 0.141. There were no RIDDORs and 2 FAT’s during the period. There were 36 reported Close Calls. Performance: • There were no train performance delays registered in the period.  Project activity: • Project 2: MTSR: Western Barrel glazing complete up to bay 17. PV complete up to Bay 21. Final painting in progress adjacent to glazing. Eastern Barrel; intermediate painting and steelwork complete. Glazing in progress up to Bay 17. Additional deck removal in progress. East Gutter complete up to Bay 5, Central Gutter up to Bay 7 and West Gutter up to Bay 6. Lower Rib and Southern Façade hoarding in position and brick cleaning in progress. Clock tower roof complete and Southern Façade mullions installed. STS: Roof works complete. • Project 3: Footbridge tiling commenced. Façade of Western Range building revealed following reduction in hoarding and rationalisation of CMS. Permanent signage installation commenced. • Project 6: Western Concourse: Contractors completion event held 19/12/11, including Programme photo and publicity in local Press. Flooring, Mezzanine shell cladding and wall cladding all nearing completion. Retail units being completed to suit tenant fit-out dates, commenced 9/1/12. Public realm works ongoing. Western Range: Booking Hall, Station Control Room, Southern gate line, First Class Lounge all complete. Public toilets, Northern gate line, 90% complete. All other rooms and offices nearing completion with hand-over inspections being undertaken on a daily basis to accommodate tenant moving in dates. Sub-Contractor work ongoing in Pub area. • Project 7: Paving trial panel completed. GRIP 5 design ongoing for: Square; Southern Façade Canopy and South East Stairs. • Project 8: Entry Into Service: Training and familiarisation on-going. SMS factory acceptance test compete. Handover of early retail areas complete. • Project 9: Project Review Group review of ATG pedflow and safety verification case, action list produced. Barcode testing commenced. Installed comms kits for ATG in West Tower. First phase of eastern rooms making good and redecoration completed. Contract awarded for the removal of the BTP/Standard class lounge. Issues: • Project 2: Solution found to remove the TKP additional decks. There is still a risk that Kier may not be off site by 30/6/12, missing the regulatory deadline and causing subsequent land issues with Argent. • Project 3: Extension of time being assessed for Contracts works not completed during blockade. Tiling of public areas: behind programme and not meeting NR requirements. On-going discussions concerning the recovery programme, including areas of re-work. • Project 6: Customer Information Point - Original contractor in Administration, new contractor appointed. Taxi canopy production is behind schedule. Concerns with Vinci drop in motivation since Contractors completion event, not yet critical. • Project 7: Planning Committee date deferred to 12/1/12 to allow Camden time to prepare their report, where they will advocate that scheme is approved. • Project 8: Emerging last minute TOC demands remain a risk. Planned activities next Period: • Project 2: MTSR: Removal of new TKP decks. STS: Dismantling of deck and completion of all work. • Project 3: Receive confirmation of programme for outstanding signage and tiling. Bring OBS facility in to use. • Project 6: WC: All Retail Units to be completed and handed over. Flooring and Mezzanine cladding to be completed. Testing and commissioning to be completed. External works: Station Square complete and handed over to Argent. Public Realm works to be completed. Main entrance works on-going. WR: SCR to be fully operational. Changing Place facility, Left/Lost Luggage, Prayer room, First Aid room all in progress. Northern gate line to be completed. Inspection and snagging on going. Handover and tenants to move in. • Project 7: Planning officers report issued to planning committee for review on the 12th January. Evaluation of Pre-Qualification questionnaires. Trial holes and concourse surveys complete. Authority obtained for remaining budget. • Project 8 Entry Into Service: SEUS Documentation for WRB approved. Station Control Room dual running complete. All tenants move into offices of the WRB. Retail fit-out begins in the WCC. Rail Gourmet Go-Live from the WRB Basement • Project 9: Complete installation of footbridge ATGs - All ATGs installed. Complete Test & Commission of ATG’s in Arch 4-5. Commence installation of ATG’s blast resistant glass barriers in WR. First phase of Cubitt House move to ER. Award contract for the removal of Cubitt House.

CORPORATE KPIs Safety: Workforce fatalities & major injuries Contractor: • AFR: 0.172 rolling, FWI: 0.141 rolling • 2 FAT’s • A Fork Lift Truck operating in Meers compound came into contact with a site gate. This caused the gate to become detached from the hinges and fall against a Heras fence panel The Heras fence panel hit an operative from Mace on the shoulder. The Mace operative carried on walking and bumped into some other material on the Mace site causing an injury to his leg. • Piotr Wirkowski stumbled whilst accessing a staircase in the concourse area. He slipped and sprained his left wrist. • 36 reported Close Calls. Trend of reported close calls is decreasing. • Back to Work Safety Event held – 5 x sessions held on 03/01/12 led by the Principal Contractors. Attended by 400+ operatives. • Occupational Health Programme – 201 hours saved due to on-site treatment in Period 9. 3461 hours saved to date (Period 2 to 9) • Contractor Reporting: Period 1013 Period Rolling Fatality 0 0 Major RIDDOR 0 2 Minor RIDDOR 0 1 FAT 2 42 Manhours 117,395 1,749,180

Small test area progressed well – large test area planned to confirm acceptance of proposal. Planned works for next period: Remedial actions to close out this and other defects to be agreed Critical Issues: Remaining defect works to be completed. Glazing frames started to be installed. NR/Kier progress meetings held on a weekly basis and NR/Kier/Sub Contractor meetings on a scheduled basis. STS – roof works complete. Tactile 95% complete. Internal brickwork continuing. Furniture painting 85% complete. Planned works for next period: MTSR – East and West Barrels complete. (Bays 13 - 28). Additional (new TKP) Deck dismantled and removed. Existing (ASW) deck moved into new location (bays 22 - 38). STS – Dismantling of deck and completion all works. Critical Issues: Solution found to remove the TKP Additional Decks – removal started 04 Jan 2012. Southern Facade in slight delay due to lead time on materials. Recovery plan in progress to include Clock Tower works and additional loading for scaffold removal. Package 6 to provide permanent power supply to STS lights. Percentage Complete: MTSR: 68% complete against a planned completion of 83% STS: 81% complete against a planned completion of 94%. Footbridge tiling commenced. Façade of western range building revealed. Permanent signage installation commenced Planned works for next period Receive confirmation of programme for outstanding signage and tiling. Bring OBS facility in to use. Critical Issues: Contract works that were not completed during the blockade due to external factors must now be completed over the early part of 2012 prior to station opening. This will require an extension of time being granted to the contractor, this is currently being assessed. Tiling of public areas is behind programme and does not currently meet NR requirements. P4 Plant Room & Shared Service Yard PROJECTS ON A PAGE Progress: The final account with Argent for their contribution towards the Shared Service Yard and Network Rail’s contribution to the Interim Service Road has been agreed. This will be a total income of £12,856,120 to Project 4 and will be invoiced at the end of January 2012. End of Defects: Retention has been released as the issue with the water ingress has been resolved. Planned works for next period: Grip 7 & 8, the Project Completion will be finalised, ready for signatures. Oracle close out of Project. Critical Issues: None Percentage Complete: 97% against a plan of 100% Next Anticipated IP Submission: None Milestones: SSY Testing & Commissioning Completed Final GRIP 6 Close out Completed SSY & AR Brought into use Completed

Planned works for next period: Approval of SEUS Documentation for WRB – Station Control Room dual running complete – NR Operations tenants move into offices of the WRB- Retail Fit-Out begins in the WCC – Rail Gourmet Go-Live from the WRB Basement – Relocation of English Heritage salvage materials. Critical Issues: Handover sign off (Form E) by Asset Steward and facilitating tenant moves by Interim Station Arrangement (ISA) dates. Next Anticipated IP Submission: None required Project 8 acts as the umbrella for the programme management team OPEX, stakeholder management cost/compensation required under the various agreements and consents processes with external stakeholders, team accommodation and specialist support activity.

  17. P11 Completion PROJECTS ON A PAGE Progress: Project 11 General: GRIP 4 underway on Northern building and survey being undertaken on lift over-run area. Agreement from all stakeholders to progress with removal of Span wires. Contract to be awarded following sign off of change paper. STS drainage transferred to P11 from P2. 8/9 downpipes transferred from P2 – materials being free issued Planned works for next period: Northern Building – Agree TOC accommodation and secure funding from property. Sign off Change paper to transfer Span wires to P11 then award contract and commence Grip 5.
