GENERAL RULES 1- Duration of theBout : • For Schoolboys and Cadets : Two periods of 2 minutes with a 30 sec. break • For Junior and Seniors : Two periods of 3 minutes with 30 sec. break • No overtime ( neither GR nor FS ) • Wrestlerswill be allowedtodrinkwaterduring 30 sec. break • Wettowelswill be rejected

  3. 2- Types of Victories • Fall • Injury, withdrawal ,default or disqualification of the opponent • Technical Superiority • Points ( Cumulative score at the end of two periods )

  4. Types of Victories –Tie by points In case of tie in technical points at the end of the bout, the winner will be determined by following criteria ; 1- The ( highest ) value of holds 2- The ( least ) amount of cautions 3- The last technical point(s) Special Case : in case bout ends 0 – 0 in GR ; Who was last to be judged most active will be winner of the bout.

  11. Types of Victories- TechnicalSuperiority - There are 7 points difference between wrestlers7 point Dif. Tech.Sup..wmv - A wrestler has scored one 5 points hold ( only if after the points are included in his /her score the wrestler is winning ) 32.wmv,77.wmv,73.wmv For example : -Red is 6-2 leading blue scores 5 points hold, score 6 – 7 bout will be ended ( counter attack will not be accepted ) - Red is 6-0 leading blue scores 5 points hold, score is 6 – 5 bout should continue ( counter attack will be accepted ) -Red is 6-1 leading blue scores 5 points hold, score 6 – 6 bout should continue ( counter attack will be accepted )

Types of Victories- TechnicalSuperiority • A wrestler has scored two 3 points holds ( only if after the points are included in his /her score the wrestler is winning ) For example : -Red is 5 - 3 leading blue scores second 3 points hold, score is 5 – 6 bout will be ended ( counter attack will be accepted if executed in continuity ) - Red is 7-3 leading blue scores second 3 points hold, score is 7 – 6, bout should continue ( counter attack will be accepted even it is not with continuity) 67.wmv - Red is 6 - 3 leading blue scores second 3 points hold, score is 6 – 6 bout should continue ( counter attack will be accepted even it is not with continuity)

  13. 3-Evaluation of Holds • In order to encourage risk taking during bouts, when a wrestler tries a hold and find himself in par terre position without a move by his opponent, the bout will be stopped and started in standing position. risk.wmv, risk 1.wmv82.wmv no risk, 64.wmv, 85.wmv, 86.wmv, 89.wmv • All take downs with three points of contact on mat - 2 points 2 puan.wmv, 2 p0ints.wmv, Good Attacks.mpg, 80.wmv - The wrestler overcomes holds and control his opponent by passing behind him – 2 points

  14. 3-Evaluation of Holds • Inallsituationswhereonewrestlerpassesbehindtheopponent, eitherbytheattackingwrestlerorthedefensivewrestler, in par terre, therefereewillgive2 points. 2 red +1 blue.mpg,5.wmv, 8.wmv, 9.wmv,18.wmv , 96.wmv,97.wmv • In case a wrestler blocks his opponent in standing position and takes down he will score 2 points 45.wmv,52.wmv,63.wmv,72.wmv,81.wmv,10.wmv • In case attacking wrestler stops his attack in par terre and after a pause he passes behind of opponent he will score 2 points90.wmv,91.wmv

  15. 3-Evaluation of Holds • All take downs from standing position to protection area is 2 points62.wmv,74.wmv • Pulling down and passing behind 2 points3.wmv,12.wmv,16.wmv,69.wmv,98.wmv • As long as attacking wrestler continues his attack and controls his opponent in par terre he will score 2 points1.wmv,15.wmv,20.wmv,58.wmv • In case both wrestlers come to par terre position in head to head position , then one of them goes behind he will score 2 points

  16. 3-Evaluation of Holds • Reversal ( counter attack in par terre and passing behind ) – 1 point 38.wmv, 85.wmv • Correct hold without danger position – 1 point1 point.wmv, 78.wmv • In case attacking wrestler loses point/s and then he passes behind in par terre he will score 1 point 43.wmv

  17. 4- PassivityProcedure - Freestyle 1st Passivity Violation : - Verbal Stimulation - Stop the match for verbal warning “ Attention “ 2nd Passivity Violation : - Stop the match - Indicate the 30 second activity period - If any wrestler can not score – Caution + 1 point to opponent • Further passivity violations can be indicated directly and another 30 sec penalty period will be applied. 50.wmv • No 30 second activity period after 2:30 or 5:30 ( penalty for fleeing thehold, fleeing the mat or for illegal action can be applied)56.wmv

  18. PassivityProcedure - Freestyle • In case score is 0 – 0 after 2:00 min. referee will stop the bout and officiating team will designate a wrestler as passive and 30 sec. penalty period will be applied for this wrestler. 2.wmv • In cadets and school boys penalty period will be applied at the end of the 1:00 min. in case score is 0-0.

PassivityProcedure – Greco-Roman • 1st Passivity Violation : - Match will be stopped and passive wrestler will be warned • 2nd Passivity Violation : - Caution to passive wrestler, - Active wrestler has right to choose standing or par terre starting position ( side position to lift or back position )

PassivityProcedure – Greco-Roman • 3rd Passivity Violation : - Caution to passive wrestler and 1 point to opponent, - Active wrestler has right to choose par terre or standing position • 4th Passivity Violation : - Caution to passive wrestler and 1 point to opponent, - Passive wrestler will be diqualified from bout because of three cautions . * It is suggested that ; In case score is 0-0 in GR wrestling one of the wrestlers has to be designated as passive within 1st minute

  21. 5- Challenge • Coach should request for challenge within 5 seconds after decision of refereeing body is posted on the scoreboard. • Challenge will not be accepted for penalties of passivity - Under no circumstances should anyone including FILA Bureau members, FILA delegates,coaches, wrestlers or team leaders attempt to interfere or influence the refereeing team and jury appeal. Any person violating this rules shall be expelled from the field of play for the duration of the tournament
