Art 30 - Organics • Commission propose support per ha of UAA. “Agricultural area” proposed by Council. • Support will be granted to convert to or to maintain Organic farming practices and methods as defined in Reg 834/2007 • Undertaken for 5 -7 years • Baseline for Organics is Cross Compliance plus minimum standards for fertilisers and plant protection products • Annual payments for income forgone • Transaction cost of up to 20% (30% for groups)

  10. Direct Payments Proposal • Art 29.4 of the DP proposal states that Organics will constitute greening • This shall apply only to the units of a holding that are used for organic production in accordance with Art. 11 of Reg. 834/2007.
