Dr. Peter C Somers, MD is a plastic cosmetic reconstructive surgeon with more than four decades of experience in the medical field. He has performed hundreds of surgical procedures on local, national, and international clients at his private, fully-accredited and certified facility. This facility has board certified anesthesiologists who work closely with Dr. Somers to provide patients with private consultations and treatments.
Dr. Peter C Somers, MD completed his B.S. in Biology from Loyola University, Maryland. He is an alumnus of Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. Thereafter, he obtained post-doctoral training – Internship and Resident from Graduate Hospital, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and General Surgery. He was the Resident in General Surgery/Chief Resident, Georgetown University, Washington. In addition, he was the Chief Resident of Plastic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine, Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Peter C Somers, MD has delivered lectures at many prestigious institutes including Graduate Hospital University of Pennsylvania, Asymptomatic Carotid Bruit-Evaluation and Treatment V.A. Hospital, Washington, D.C, Georgetown University, Mt. Sinai Hospital, Arrundel Hospital-Surgical Grand Rounds, Florida Trial Lawyers Association, Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and many others.
He has also been featured in many reputed magazines such as Buenhogar, Miami Mensual, and he co-authored an article “A Simple Breast Reconstruction Option” for Miami Medical Letter. One of his articles was also featured in FMA Today, it was titled, “Medical Antiques Pique Physician’s Interest.” He has been a part of many television programs and continuing medical education presentations.
Dr. Somers has organized many medical education activities for physicians and nurses. These programs were fully accredited by the Florida Medical Association and covered topics like Breast Reconstruction and Liposuction.
