  6. concise:brief and straightforward • I prefer concise directions because it saves time.

  7. dichotomy:two opposite parts of one whole • The story reveals the dichotomy between good and evil.

  8. epitome:the best or most typical example • You are the epitome of a good student; you are always prepared for class and your work is always A quality.

  9. excise:to cut out of; remove • The doctors had to excise the skin around the wound because it was infected.

  10. fractious:tending to argue or cause discord • My family is extremely fractious, especially at Thanksgiving, but it is all in good fun!
