  2. NUTRIPUNCTURE AN INFORMATIONAL APPROACH TO VOICE TUNNING Patrick Veret MD – Fabio Burigana MD – Cristina Cuomo Psy

  3. THIS STUDY EMERGED THROUGH THE OBSERVATION OF THE SONIC DYNAMICS THAT ARE ACTIVATED IN INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS AND THEIR IMPACT ON THE QUALITY OF COMMUNICATION, IT IS THE RESULT OF EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON THE BASIC PARAMETERS OF HUMAN VITALITY, WHICH, AT ITS HIGHEST LEVEL OF EXPRESSION, MANIFESTS IN A “PLURIDIMENSIONAL” VOICE, WHOSE PARTICULARLY BENEFICIAL RESONANCE IS IN RELATION TO THE FIVE SENSES

  4. THE RESEARCHERS OF HUMAN-VOICE ASSOCIATION whose honorary president is the French sociologist Edgar Morin propose a journey into yet untapped resources to discover new frontiers for the voice and to identify the essential physiological reference points for the expression of the “truth” of one’s voice.

  5. MOST IMPORTANT PARAMETERS FOR VITALITY OF THE VOCAL APPARATUS SPATIAL ORIENTATION Spatial orientation, which assures good coordination, is an essential ingredient for the voice. This can be demonstrated at the workshop tomorrow. Many different kinds of stressors can be at the origin of a spatial disorganization. SEXUAL CHARACTERISTICS Sexual characteristics, which, following hormonal impregnation, give the voice a particular emotional outline and a male or female identity. SENSORY EXPRESSION Sensory expression offers the voice sensitivity and unique nuances, often hidden by the stresses of life which prevent us from expressing our taste for communication, our interior landscape, our inspiration and the extent to which we value feeling comfortable in our bodies.

  6. NUTRIPUNCTURE RESEARCH BEGINS IN 1980s In the 1980s at the University of Paris Orsay research began on the emergent properties of certain trace-minerals used in precise protocols. The team was inspired by the research of George Lakvosky on the action of poly-metallic circuits and of Barbara McClintock on the influence of the environment on DNA. The research gradually demonstrated the impact of complex associations of trace- minerals on psycho-physical vitality. Depending on the way the trace-minerals are combined, and the sequence used, different effects were demonstrated on the body.

  7. NUTRIPUNCTURE THE RESEARCH LEAD TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF NUTRITIONAL SUPLEMENTS The team discovered 38 nutritional supplements all known as NUTRI, which sustained the circulation of meridians. THESE NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS ARE TOOLS OF OUR RESEARCH We rediscover fundamental principles of Oriental medecine and enriched them with recent discoveries in microbiology and psycho-neuro-immunology. Thanks to these tools we were able to discover the fundamental meridians which interact in the human communication. In particular we were able to find some protocols which support the vital currents of the body and in particular those in the voice . This research was published in Europe (France and Italy) by Patrick Veret in 2005. Fabio Burigana, Cristina Cuomo and Antonio Dell’Aglio published in 2010 “Meridians and Nutripuncture”. This book will be available in English in January 2012, published by Inner Traditions.

  8. VOICE AND NUTRIPUNCTURE The vocal apparatus is a microcosm inside a macrocosm (the organism), directed by the same vital currents that drive the rest of the body It has therefore been easy to observe the positive effects of Nutripuncture on the voice and the well-being of the vocal apparatus.

  9. MOTOR COORDINATION Motor coordination also depends on the circulation of fundamental currents, which assure a three-dimensional spatial orientation, known in acupuncture as Conception and the Governor vessels TOP GOVERNOR BACK RIGHT LEFT T. W M.H FRONT BOTTOM CONCEPTION

  10. ENVIRONMENT AND VOCAL APPARATUS 5 FAMILIES OF VITAL CURRENTS INTERACT WITH VOCAL APPARATUS SMELL SIGHT HEARING TASTE GOOD STIMULI INDUCE GOOD FUNCTIONING BAD STIMULI INDUCE DYSFUNCTION

  11. TO POTENTIALIZE THE VITAL CURRENTS In order to potentialize the vital currents that feed the voice, we have used different NUTRIs, defining the precise protocols to protect the vocal apparatus from the numerous stressors that can affect its performance and inhibit the expression of its sonic potential. Vitality Health Illness The aim of nutripuncture is not to struggle against a symptom but to activate vital currents responsible for the alteration of terrain

  12. EFFECTS OF A PLURIDIMENSIONAL VOICE ON THE LISTENER an Italy research using fMRI has been conducted about the effect of the voice on the listener’s brain. We compared the effects of a natural voice with a voice upgraded by Nutripuncture Fabio Burigana, italian MD, will present the preliminary results of this pilot study.

  13. Effects of a pluridimensional voice on the listener Trieste, Piazza Unità d’Italia

  14. An anxious voice evokes anxiety, an aggressive voice transmits rage or anger, but what does a balanced voice provoke in the listener? Trieste, Canale di Ponterosso

  15. The balanced voice (upgraded by nutripuncture) seems to create: • an increase in the capacity for attention, • an increase in the span of attention, • improvement in accomplishing a task, • an improvement in the listener’s own voice. Trieste, la Barcolana

  16. HYPOTHESIS Does voice enhanced by nutripuncture activate most cerebral areas? Can this be demonstrated? fMRI shows cerebral areas receiving more oxygen, therefore activates Trieste, il Teatro romano

  17. THE TOOLS OF THIS RESEACH : 1-THE BRAIN OF THE LISTENER 2-THE VOICE OF THE SINGER 3- THE OLIGOMETALS COMPLEX (NUTRIPUNCTURE) USED TO UPGRADE THE SINGER’S VOICE

  18. PROTOCOL Our research has lead us to illustrate, using imaging techniques, how a upgraded voice provokes the activation of cerebral areas which are not activated by a normal voice. This is a preliminary study and we hope it will lead to further assessments. A healthy 24-year old woman was subjected to fMRI with auditory stimulation. She listened to a normal, and then a balanced voice, belonging to the same person. The voices were mixed randomly, e.g., normal spoke, upgraded spoken, silence, upgraded spoken, normal spoken, silence, upgraded sung, normal sung, silence, etc. The intervals of sung voice, spoken voice, and silence were of twelve seconds and the two sequences were identical in order to allow the researchers to identify the spontaneous encephalic activation. The same sequence was repeated twice to avoid false results due to spontaneous encephalic activation. 37. RECORDED VOICES: before speaking or singing the individuals were in emotionally neutral states. The transition from normal to balanced voice occurred in a few minutes and was not induced by a particular emotion. THE RESULTS ARE CLEAR: The upgraded voice activates parts of the brain that are not activated by a normal voice. These results are encouraging and point to the importance of further research.

  38. CONCLUSION Why we did this pilot study ? • The fMRI seems confirm our preliminary observations. • The voice upgraded with nutripuncture could be used in differents settings : • Educational, psychological (peak performance?) • Réhabilitation (ex : after a nervous injury) • Artistic • Human communication
