  2. Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil. Eph. 5:15,16 • Present fathers Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. 1 Cor. 16:13 • Protective fathers Be on your guard: Awake, eyes open to evil Stand firm in the faith: when judged you’re approved Be men of courage; be strong: “man-up” Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Eph. 6:3

  4. Powerful fathers Do everything in love 1 Cor. 16:14 My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son Hebrews 12:6
