  1. Peer Pressure Arianna Curry World History II- Ms.Grace Current events project “Come on Tails, I thought you wanna be like me” –Sonic

  2. What is it? Who does it effect? Peer pressure is influence forced on a person by a group or by other individuals. It’s when the group (or individual) forcefully influences one to change their ways, such as behavior, attitude, and/ or values. Peer pressure can happen to anyone, no matter how old you are. Peer pressure happens to adolescents as much as it does to teens. Peer pressure can also be caused by family members. It can be caused by parents, siblings, aunts and uncles, etc. Peer pressure effects those who are being pressured into changing. We are pressured into doing many things such as smoking, drinking, skipping school, and having sex. An individual can also be pressured into changing the way they dress, their attitude toward their peers and family, and other things such as their behavior in and out of school.

  3. Why I choose this topic I choose to do my topic on peer pressure because it happens to everyone, every day. Peer pressure is one of the biggest issues in an adolescent and teens life. I choose to do this topic to show people how much in can effect others. Peer pressure been going on for many years. I choose this topic because I have been pressured into doing stuff by my peers plenty of times. I wanted to show everyone how it can effect the people they pressure.

  4. Do I think students in 2030 will learn about this topic in the future? Why or why not? In my honest opinion, I don’t think students in 2030 will learn about this topic. Peer pressure is not something they teach us about in school. The chance of students learning about this in 2030 is about a 50/50 chance. I don’t think that students will learn about this unless they go to a group that discusses it. But I do believe that peer pressure will continue in the future. Their just going to have to figure out how to say no on their own.
