  1. THE PARTICIPLE Составила старший преподаватель кафедры ЗЕЯ СмогуноваО.С. ПРИЧАСТИЕ, ЕГО ФОРМЫ И СИНТАКСИЧЕСКИЕ ФУНКЦИИ В ПРЕДЛОЖЕНИИ.

  2. Причастие – это неличная форма глагола, совмещающая в себе свойства глагола, прилагательного или наречия.

  3. В современном английском языке имеется развитая система форм причастия.

  4. Синтаксические функции причастия в предложении: Причастие выполняет только две синтаксические функции в предложении: ОПРЕДЕЛЕНИЕ – соответствует русскому причастию A falling star Падающая звезда The people waiting for youЖдущие вас люди A broken cup. Разбитая кружка ОБСТОЯТЕЛЬСТВО – соответствует русскому деепричастию или целому придаточному предложению. I spent most of the time answering questions. Я провел большую часть времени, отвечая на вопросы. Having turned out the light we left the house. Выключив свет, мы покинули дом. When going home I met my brother. Идя домой, я встретил брата.

  5. Задание №1 Напишите все формы причастий от следующих глаголов: • To stop, to cut, to forget, to begin, to study, to open, to play, to write, to give, to tie. • Задание №2 Найдите сказуемое, определите синтаксическую функцию причастия в предложении и переведите предложения на русский язык. • 1) The students spoken about at the meeting yesterday completed this work successfully.2) A person bringing good news is always welcome. 3) While skating yesterday he fell and hurt himself. 4) Having lived in this town all his life he knew it very well. 5) When writing a telegram we must use as few words as possible. 6) Being told of his arrival, I went to see him. 7) Books read in childhood seem like old friends. 8) The rising sun was hidden by the clouds. 9) All books taken in the library must be returned next week. • Задание №3 Замените придаточные предложения причастными оборотами и переведите на русский язык. • 1) While we were crossing the bridge, we saw Ann, who was talking with an old man. 2) As we were very tired, we refused to go for a walk. 3) A large branch, which had been broken by the wind, lay across the road.4) When he crossed the bridge, he saw a small village, which was situated at the foot of the hill. 5) I’ll show you the article, which has been written by my brother. 6) As he had been taught English by a good teacher, he knew English well. 7) The moon was invisible, as it was hidden by a cloud.
