    3. UC Merced Custodial Services is Green. We are proud to be leading the UC campuses on green cleaning technology. Most of chemicals we use in our campus are Green Seal certified and 80% of our supplies, tools and equipment are in compliance with our Sustainability goals.

    4. We combine high performance equipment and cleaning tools to make our job easier, safer and provide the best possible quality.

    5. Most of our tools are lighter and ergonomically designed to protect our employees and increase productivity.

    6. Additional to all of this we have created a consistent and continuous training program for our crew to increase their knowledge and skills and make their work safer.

    7. We are also proud of being the first group on campus to exercise everyday before our work shift.

    8. As you can see we want to change the stereotype of the custodian. We are proud of the work we do and want to do it the best we can.

    9. Our custodial crew has been created with a new mentality and leadership. We want to proudly represent our campus goals and have a 21st Century Focus for our services.

    10. Our Green Accomplishments Use of Green Seal certified cleaners. The only UC campus using Microfiber cleaning tools. Our High performance equipment for floor cleaning helps to reduce the amount of water required by 75% and the chemicals by 40% HEPA Vacuums that trap 99% of the dirt in the areas serviced. On top of this our equipment is targeted to reduce the risk of back injuries and ease our employees work routine. We have Consistent Training Calendar to improve the skills of our crew and ensure their safety. Use of paper products with 100% recyclable content.
