Wedding Planning Checklist Planning a wedding is both exciting and daunting, so we’ve devised this wedding planning checklist to help you keep track of tasks in a relevant timescale. 12 months (or more) before First of all, set a budget – make a list and prioritizeeverything that’s important to you Decide on the style of ceremony – If you want a church wedding there are quite a few things to consider. Decide on a rough date and think about a venue. Start getting wedding dress ideas – it can take 6 months to get from the designer/shop Generally, we find that the bride tends to handle most of the project managing, but it’s a great idea to agree on a couple of tasks for the groom to oversee. Music and wine are usually good bets. 11-9 months before Arrange site visits and confirm your venue Book a church or wedding efficient Read magazines, use websites and Pinterest and go to wedding fairs. Think about buying wedding insurance just in case Order clothing for your bridal party –remember it’s your choice! Apply for relevant licenses Compile your guest list Go wedding ring shopping, choose your dress and arrange fitting dates Have fun choosing a honeymoon location The Admirable Crichton Page 3

  5. 8-5 months before Arrange a tasting for your menu with our wedding designers. Order wedding invitations and cake Buy accessories and shoes and wear them in at home – very important Book and pay your honeymoon deposit Select a gift list or honeymoon donation website and add info to invitation mail out 4-2 months before Send out invitations and ask for any dietary requirements Meet the vicar, priest or efficient to discuss your ceremony Select reading and choose who will recite them – give them plenty of warning Order favor’s and gifts for your wedding party Prepare photographer shot list, arrange hair and makeup trials 4-2 weeks before Attend your final dress fitting Contact any guests who’ve not replied and provide us with your final seating plan Confirm your final numbers for catering Finalize the seating plan 1 week before Collect your wedding gown, bridesmaid’s dresses and shoes Remind the groom to collect the suits and shoes etc. Finalize all timings and requirements with suppliers and venue Have a facial –don’t leave this too late in case of breakouts The Admirable Crichton Page 4

  6. 1 day before Have a manicure and pedicure Start setting up the venue and monitor the suppliers Check that the wedding party knows their responsibilities Have an early pre-wedding dinner Get an early night On the day Don’t forget to eat breakfast Give the wedding party their thank you gifts Most importantly, begin getting ready yourself at least two hours before The End We hope you’ll find this wedding planning checklist useful.
