  3. What is SIP? • SIP is Systematic Investment Plan. • It allows you to invest a fixed amount of money regularly in mutual funds. • You can invest a small amount of money regularly over a period of time to reach your financial goals.

How SIP works? • You have to invest a fixed amount regularly in mutual funds and so you do not have to time the market. • If you invest for long term then the investments are not affected by market volatilities because you invest fixed amount regularly. • When you invest a fixed amount you can buy more units when the market is low and less when the market is high. This brings down the average cost of acquisition of units. • It offers the power of compounding.
