Requirements – before start • Advantages and disadvantages • All citrus eligible • Navels no longer require bean thrips trapping • Increased fruit cutting instead • Packer signs up with CCQC • USDA pre-inspection • Inspection area and table • County trains packer fruit cutters • AQIS final inspection – facility, traceback (label) • All scheduling through CCQC (Dave Riggs)

  3. The Work Plan • Working from 2007 version (or vs. and) • Segregation of Australian citrus • RFI and NOI – Dave will detail • Quarantine Pest list – 3 main pests

  6. 2 meters long 1.2 meters wide White laminate surface or similar Lighted magnifier 600 lux of lighting Low forklift traffic No smoking Reasonable temperature of area Inspection table requirements

Other concerns… • Small acreage lots  many lot #s, but lose least amount when pest found. • Lots identified at beginning of season  names remain for duration. • Inspection area should be as far as possible away from outside contamination. • For more info, there will be 4 workshops. • 9/30 – Yuma 10/1 – Riverside 10/15 – Tulare 10/17 - Bakersfield
