Hinduism • Ancient religion with no founder or known date of origin. • Developed in India • 3000 – 4000 years ago • Making it the oldest surviving world religion • Most Hindus • worship one or more deities • Shiva, Vishnu, Brahman (whom Hindus regard as the only true God) • Holy book - Vedas • Beliefs • Reincarnation • Karma • Nirvana • Ganges River – holy and will purify them
