  1. Note for principals: This is the OFFICIAL T-TESS Update for Teachers. All teachers must have the update prior to any T-TESS activity occurs (including walkthroughs). Turn in the sign-in sheet for this training to Nancy Nabozny after completing the update and by the end of the first week of school. When showing this to staff, please press the Slide Show tab and From Beginning (you can move this slide to the bottom or delete after reading). There are animations on each slide, so you will need to look at the notes for when to click. We have scripted the slides for you in the notes section. Please emphasize the need to go to www.fwisd.org/pli for any information regarding T-TESS. We are in constant communication with updates from the State and Region 11 regarding the evaluation system. Evidence of steps toward growth should be documented by the teacher. PROFESSIONAL Goals should reflect areas where teachers need professional growth (Domain 4).

EVERY TEACHER MUST HAVE AN END-OF-YEAR CONFERENCE The End-of-Year (EOY) Conference provides an opportunity for the appraiser and the teacher to summarize the observations for Domains 1-3, formalize the evidence and score for Domain 4, and to discuss next year’s goal(s) and professional development plan(TeachForTexas.org).
