Runoff water is collected and used for revenue generation. People get safe and quality drinking water throughout the year. Healthy society due to safe drinking water (ii) Environmental Impact: Supply of drinking water by green (lesser energy intensive) and natural method Ground water replenishment Green cash crop is created. Evaporation, Runoff losses, and soil erosion are minimized

8. Socio-economic characteristics of the project Population Implementation of project comprises of the roof tops runoff water, interconnecting pipes and household tanks. Overflow of water from household tanks get collected into a big tank outside the village. This system has affected the social life of the villagers such that they collectively maintain the system and plan for water harvesting.
