  4. The Decline of Saul • Once Saul disobeyed God, he lost God’s favor. As a result, _______________________. (1 Sam 16) • As David gains God’s favor, Saul become increasing envious and paranoid about losing his power • Read: 1 Sam 28: 4-25 • Finally, 1 Sam ends with the death of Saul. • While Saul had many weakness, he was remembered fondly by David ( 2 Sam 1:23 & 27)
