  1. RICH Offline/OnlineSoftware Status and Plans Presented by Kenta Shigaki (KEK) at PHENIX Computing Meeting on July 7, 1999

  2. Presentation Outline • Status of RICH Offline/Online Software • Known Limitations and Pending Tasks • Plans/Priorities/Schedule K.Shigaki at PHENIX Computing Meeting

  3. Status of RICH Offline/Online Software simulation - up to PRDF generation PISA/STAF response chain working no need or plan to change it offline - PRDF to DST wrapped STAF reconstruction chain working a few know limitations exist no more patch for (wrapped) STAF modules entire chain will be rewritten in ROOT/PHOOL online - monitoring and calibration PMT gain sorting used PAW/kuip no real monitoring/calibration tools yet K.Shigaki at PHENIX Computing Meeting

  4. Known Limitations and Pending Tasks improvement of track/ring association use of new DC track model better correction for focusing effect development of monitoring/calibration tools implementation of DAO/DGO/DCO implementation of database access PRDF event merging K.Shigaki at PHENIX Computing Meeting

  5. Plans/Priorities/Schedule (roughly in descending order of priority) • PRDF/DDPool access • an important part of FEE activities • prerequisite for other tasks • T. Matsumoto (July 1999) • calibration code • higher priority than offline code upgrade • w/ DCO, database access • K.Shigaki (August 1999) • monitoring tool • Y.Akiba (August 1999) K.Shigaki at PHENIX Computing Meeting

  6. Plans/Priorities/Schedule (continued roughly in descending order of priority) • new offline chain • w/ DC track model, DGO, DAO • Y. Akiba + K.Shigaki (September-October 1999) • PRDF event merging • (September 1999 ?) K.Shigaki at PHENIX Computing Meeting
