Curriculum Systems The Office of Curriculum Systems is responsible for: • Management of university-wide curriculum • Management of the course approval process (CAPA) and syllabus update system • Production of the online Bulletin • Development of a complete undergraduate degree database and approval process • Production of the Major Decisions web site • Staff support for the University Curriculum Committee • Tuition return approval process

Full University Curriculum Committee Membership • Chairperson (elected by UCC) • 19 Representatives • One from each School and College, (College of Arts and Sciences has two representatives; one for Science, and one for Non-Science) • One Undergraduate student representative • One Graduate student representative

  13. CAPA • Course Approval Process Automation (CAPA) • Automated course approval process for the University of Georgia using the World Wide Web • Includes over 7250 undergraduate and graduate courses • Used by over 1350 faculty, staff, and administrators University-wide

USERS • All CAPA users require authorization from the department head, director, or dean • Training provided by the Office of Curriculum Systems for: • Faculty, staff, administrators • Curriculum committees: online voting procedure • A CAPA training manual was developed by the Office of Curriculum Systems and is provided to all users • CAPA
