Youth have a powerful emotional connection to music, they listen to music every day, Music effects their peer group choices, the close they wear, even the way they speak. At YMM we want to let those students know that they can find a career path in music that will allow them to channel their passion for music into productive and fulfilling careers. Many at risk youth have no idea that a career in the music industry and high school are compatible. YMM’s partnership with Coalition Education allows YMM to empower students to pursue careers in the music industry that include: marketing, branding, law, accounting, communications, technology and social media as well as the creative aspects of songwriting, recording, performing and touring.
