Case Study PerfEngg JPMC CFT- P06716- BSC 21 Customer Profile J.P. Morgan is a leader in financial services, offering solutions to clients in more than 100 countries with one of the most comprehensive global product platforms available. J.P. Morgan Markets is Corporate Investment Bank’s new client platform that will deliver capital markets capabilities across the full trade lifecycle. This new platform will incorporate pre-trade functionality, trade execution, and post-trade services into one, integrated solution for our clients. Business Need for the project JPMM/CFP – Client Facing Platform is a massive undertaking by the Firm to bring together Pre –Trade, Trade & Post Trade platforms for all internal and external clients via one platform. Pre Trade platforms will be supported on a variety of devices Desktops as well as mobile platforms. Estimated total registered users – 125, 000. PET was responsible for platform performance. Business Solution As part of the CFP Core Engineering Team , the Performance Engineering Team is responsible for performance testing and monitoring the JPMM platform. For Streaming requirements in the website a messaging product called Nirvana has been implemented which is not supported in LoadRunner. We created java libraries which is used to handle data communications during the load test. Technical Solution Java wrappers were written to initiate connections to Nirvana and then listeners were written to handle the incoming data. Once the data is received Binary payloads are sent back with Ascii characters and data. This implementation has been used for most of nirvana performance testing
