  4. P U R P O S E Missionaries around the world are nurtured, renewed and equipped to administer grace in their work and in their personal relationships.

  5. V I S I O N • Establish an effective model for implementing a comprehensive support program to deal with the challenges of human relationships. • Reduce the attrition rate of missionaries and the recurring expense of recruiting and training new people.

  6. H I S T O R Y • 1998 - Established after 2 ½ years of careful research on the need for an organization that would provide support services to missions in foreign fields. • 1999 – Presented team-building model to 7 U.S. churches and took our first 2 trips to Moscow, Russia.

  7. H I S T O R Y • 2000 – Traveled to Russia (3 trips) & Mexico (1 trip). • 2001 – Served 5 missions organizations involved in 12 countries. • 2002 – Developed organizational structure: team of consultants.

  10. S T A T S 1 career missionary in 20 leaves the field every year. 47% leave their work within the first 5 years! 71% of these losses are for preventable reasons. • Statistics taken from “Too Valuable to Lose”, edited by William Taylor.

  11. S T A T S International, long-term missionary force estimated at 150,000 (very conservative), 7,650 missionaries leave the field annually! Over a 4-year term, this number jumps to 30,600! • Statistics taken from “Too Valuable to Lose”, edited by William Taylor.

  13. C A U S E S • In one study, 49% of cases caused by relationship problems. • Top five causes of preventable attrition involve issues of character and relationships.

  14. C A U S E S • Missionaries are People, too. • The new generation of missionaries reflects the moral, ethical and family struggles of our culture. Many come from broken homes and bring to the field the resultant relational and personal struggles.

  15. C A U S E S A Lack of Resources 72% of missionary agencies have no in-house orientation, training or preventative support programs. • Lack of funds. • Variety of skills and training required to provide support.
