How to Contact Counselors Students can see their counselor before school, after-school, or at lunch (no appointment necessary) An appointment or Hall Pass is needed in order for students to meet with counselors during class time Parents should call to set up an appointment with their student’s counselor Students may fill out “Student Message to Counselor” form if we are unavailable Counselor office hours: 7:15-3:15

  12. MARK KEPPEL HIGH SCHOOL HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS *Students MUST also pass the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) to earn a diploma.

  14. Online Class Registration Step 1: Go to http://family.ausd.us Step 2: Log on by entering your “user name” and “password” (provided at the elementary school) Step 3: Click on the “Class Registration” icon

  15. Step 4 Follow the directions on the welcome page. For course descriptions, please go to www.mkhs.org Click on academics, then click on the course catalog.

What Happens Next? • Complete and return the yellow forms from the packet in one week • Register for your classes on http://family.ausd.us • 8th Grade MKHS Visit: Thurs April 2nd 8:30-11:30 • AEF summer school registration: information will be mailed March 11th, dates of summer session 6/8-7/16 – Mon-Thurs – 7:30-1:00

PRIORITY PROCESSING (date August 6th ) • You will do the following: • Turn in forms from packet mailed out in summer • Take your ID photograph • Receive your Temporary Student Schedule • Can purchase an ASB card • Purchase PE uniform • Meet with Counselor ONLY if there is an error • examples: missing a period • already took the class in summer school
