DCWs -> saferexploration and exploitation of the seabed • In 2010 as a Polish and German initiative the HELCOM MUNI groupwas established to prepare a report on chemical munitions dumped in the Baltic Sea; • In 2013 HELCOM MUNI reportwas presented; • In 2014 the new HELCOM SUBMERGED group on environmentalrisks of hazardoussubmerged objectswillstarts; • Poland is leader of the UMBRELLAproject (Underwater Munitions Baltic REmediationcLuster League) under EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region; • Investigation on possibility to develop pilot project focus on removing DCW on the Polish Baltic coast , 2014, Poland

Closedphosphogypsum waste site in Wiślinka • Joint Polish-Finnish samplings in the vicinity of the Wiślinka phosphogypsum dumpsite in 2013 – satisfactory for both sides; • Theenvironmental review confirm that the threat to the waters of Gdansk Bay from phosphates from the phosphogypsum stack in Wiślinka is not significant; • Last HELCOM LAND meeting was organized in Gdańsk to show the new plans to divert drainage waters from around the phosphogypsum waste stack back to the production cycle at Fosfory Plant in Gdansk that would reduce potential threat of nutrients leakage into the Baltic
