  3. Before Applying/FAQS • Check application requirements and deadlines. • Minimum test scores and GPA required. • School codes needed for sending standardized test. • Which transcripts need submitted? • Application fee/fee waivers.

  4. Completing the Application • Careful of online applications • Creating user name/password • Upload all required documents • Watch for common mistakes • Grammar, incomplete thoughts, etc. • DOUBLE CHECK! • Confidently submit

  5. Writing Your Statement of Purpose • Strike a balance between past and future • Keep it relevant • Personal, educational, professional • Know the program • What compelled you to apply? • Show the committee you did your homework • Fill the gaps • Address and explain inconsistencies
