  3. Critical Reading Mark the text. Write C’s and Q’s in margins. Mark primary claims; subordinate claims; emphatic statements; terminology; what gets repeated C’s and Q’s = simplifying or developing; summarizing; questioning; sharing preliminary conclusions Chapter 1

  4. Your Mission Choose one person from your group to be the spy. When spy time arrives . . . your group’s spy goes to another group to collect IHAQ intel (any ideas / responses still missing from your group’s packets). (4 minutes) One spy per group. Spies must initiate and continue the conversation about the topic until time is up. Spies will return to their groups to share intel. (4 minutes) When You’re a Spy . . .
