  2. Throughout history there have been plenty of examples of anarchy. Whether it be during a revolution, in times of political transition or societal upheaval - history has seen its share of anarchy! • Examine the following pictures…consider what conditions are evident, what types of people are involved, the historical consequences and overall atmosphere present when anarchy is taking place.

WhatisAnarchy? • Anarchy comes fromthegreekword ¨anachia¨ whichmeans a lack of authority. • Anarchyisthegovernment of having no government. • The symbol of anarchism has becomeveryfamous in popular culture. The ¨A¨ stands forauthority and the ¨O¨ stands fororder. Togetherthey mean ´anarchyisthemother of allorder´.
