The social environment(Greece) • Very high level of unemployment (over 27% on the general public,around 60% on young people,around 80% on ex-addicts in Thessaloniki). • Significant increase of psychological disorders In general public(Increase of dual diagnosis people) • Significant increase of suicides(more than 2500 the last 3 years).

  3. Increase of use and dependence of alcohol, gambling and legally prescribed drugs. • Sense of lack of hope and perspective.

  4. Needs and problems of addicted people • Basic needs:food, housing • Psychological and psychiatric problems • Unemployment in very high level • No security in job • Difficulties to approach the health public system(insecurity) • Limitation of the welfare system • Total lack of quality and optimistic life

  5. KETHEA • Τhe biggest network of drug treatment and social integration in Greece. • 30 years services. • Different kind of dependencies(alcohol,gambling,internet,drugs) • Prevention programs in the society. • Research and educational programs forwarding the scientist knowledge.

KETEHA ITHAKI • The first therapeutic community in Greece 30 years ago. • Programs for adults,adolescences,addictedparents,families. • Residential community, Open day program, Telephone helpline. • Educational activities:high school,trainning in productive projects, sport and art activities, learning of pc and English language.

  17. Focus on TC principles at social level • Partnership in social network to help people by: • Promoting products from our units to social groceriesand for clients needs. • Sharing clothes and medicine. • Supporting drug addicts for basic needs(food and bed) • Find a job
