In Class Assignment • On 6 by 9in. paper create a cross contour line drawing. • This piece should be a complete drawing with good composition. • You may be realistic or abstract. • You may use color if you wish. • Yes it will be graded. • Time frame: Today and Friday (I will collect them next week). • If you don’t have time to finish you may take it home (if you have supplies there). There is Open Studio next Tuesday. • If you finish early, maybe you didn’t do enough, do another…

  6. Start with a rolling line (nothing too severe). Place eight dots along the line at various intervals. Cross lines over the center line (this step only). Continue to build your contours out to the edge of the paper. It is ok for the “columns” to get pinched off. Do not cross over your lines. Do not make rainbows.
