Look at the underlined words. قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ(1) لَا أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ(2) وَلَا أَنتُمْعَابِدُونَ مَا أَعْبُدُ(3) وَلَا أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدتُّمْ(4) وَلَا أَنتُمْعَابِدُونَ مَا أَعْبُدُ (5) لَكُمْدِينُكُمْ وَلِيَدِينِ(6)

7. قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ ! • Allah is angry with them. Did you notice that He never addressed them directly! • Should we not be alerted! Just imagine the time when we were kids (along with other brothers and sisters) and father was angry with one… Didn’t the rest of us were alerted, rather tried to please dad? • Allah is angry with disbelievers. We should immediately be alerted and respond ... see next slide

8. DPPR Ask Propagate Understand I+G Evaluate Plan Check قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ ! Main problem with Kafirs? They followed their nafs, egos, income, positions, institutions, traditions etc. They refused to follow the truth in spite of knowing it. Let people know the dangers of following egos and traditions. Follow Qur’an/Sunnah O Allah! Let us not reject or neglect the truth because of our egos and positions. Do Istighfar. Ponder on the Greatness of Allah and our position in front of Him. How many times did we behave like that? How is our interaction when somebody tells us the truth.

9. كَافِر • Every Non-Muslim is not Kafir (Qur’an is huda linnaas; kuntum khaira ummat…) • Word Kafir itself is not an insult. Otherwise Allah would not have used it for Mulsims (After Ayatalkursi)

10. كَافِر • Some Muslims think that all people know what Islam is! Through Media, internet, … • Look at Muslims themselves. 90% or more don’t know what is in the Qur’an. And they expect others to know what Islam is? • This is really arrogance and forgetting one’s own job. Look at how many times the Prophet pbuh conveyed the Message to Quraish in Makkah.. for 13 years!!! How many years have we done? 13 hours so far?

11. لَا أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ • Twice – to negate past and future

12. لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِ (6) • Not a message to say that All religions are equal. • Neither a message that we should stop Dawah. Did the Prophet stop preaching after this revelation? • It was revealed in response to offer of compromise. No compromise in faith matters.

13. قواعد – Grammar Take a deep breath now and do all the exercises with TPI. It is only for around 5 minutes.

14. Arabic has only Two Tenses(Thank God!!!) فِعْل مَاضِي : That which is done فِعْل مُضَارِع : That which is not done yet. - It is being done - Or will be done Perfect tense Imperfect tense
