  3. Habitat: • The African Lion lives in Africa. It lives in grasslands in the Savannah.

  4. The Lion’s Diet: • The lion’s prey included: Zebras, wildebeest, impala, giraffe, buffalo, and other small mammals. • They are mainly nocturnal, so most of the hunting is done at night.

Interesting Facts about the lion… • The lion’s nickname is “the king of the jungle”. • Both female and male lions roar, their roar can be heard over 5 miles away. • The cubs begin hunting at 11 months but remain with their mother for at least two years. • The lion’s lifespan is 10-14 years. • The lion’s top speed is 50 mph for short distance.
