SERVICE!. November 9, 2010. SERVICE CAPE. Goes to Caitlyn Ryan! Basically she’s the bomb. She’s been chairing the Villa Maria projects and is great at letting me know what’s going on! Plus, I basically made her the chair of a project earlier in the semester and she didn’t mind .

  2. SERVICE CAPE • Goes to Caitlyn Ryan! • Basically she’s the bomb. • She’s been chairing the Villa Maria projects and is great at letting me know what’s going on! • Plus, I basically made her the chair of a project earlier in the semester and she didn’t mind 

It’s NATIONAL SERVICE WEEK! • I want to recognize the small group of brothers and pledges that have participated this week - • Rebecca Hartz, Megan McDonough, Traci Bastian, Erin Wilson, Rebecca Cargould, KeraLemasters, KatlynJeffreys, Katie Hill, Caitlyn Ryan, Doug Bowers, Rachel Ossler, Felicity Devies, Cori LaMarco, TMAC, Amber Kemmerer, Rachel, Miller, Julie Hyde, and JennicaProdonovich (and anyone else….) • Thanks for stepping up and donating at least an hour of your time to make this week successful  • Without you guys – our NSW Report to the national office would exemplify us as a crappy chapter… which we are not!

  4. Blood Drive! • Remember if you signed up to work the table, be there at your time to relieve your brothas! • Sign ups will be in the back to work registration the days of the blood drive! (4 volunteers per slot from 1 to 7 pm) • Mon, Nov 15 and Tues, Nov 16 • Tell your friends! Give blood for an hour of service! Make it your facebook status next week!

  5. Pathway Card Packaging • Wednesday, Nov 10 • Pathway had holiday cards that they printed to use for a fundraiser – they need help packaging them in sets of 10. • 1 brother, chair – Erica Seabrook! • 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm • At Pathway’s main building in North Canton

  6. Feed My Sheep • Thurs, Nov 11 • Prep (1:30 – 4:00)- 3 bros, Chair – Cori LaMarco • Serve/Clean Up (4:00 – 6:30)- Chair – Disrea Wright (project full)

  7. PROJECT FULL! ANC Volleyball • Thurs, Nov 11 • 3:30 to 5:30 • At Alliance Neighborhood Center • Help Amy teach kids vball skills!

  8. Villa Maria Gala Set Up • Thurs, Nov 11 • 4-8 pm • 3 volunteers • Help finish setting up for the Gala event! • Dress warm – heat isn’t working!

  9. Echoing Ridge WalMart Trip • Thurs, Nov 11Chair – Disrea Wright • Friday, Nov 12 • 6:00-9:30 pm • Assist residents with developmental disabilities on a trip to Walmart!

  10. Art for Alzheimer’s Gala Event • Fri, Nov 12 • 12 – 4 (1 hour slots) 4 volunteers to oversee previewers of artwork • 4 – 6 : 4 volunteers for feast set up crew • 4 – 6 : 6 food servers serving edible art appetizers • 4 – 6 : 4 drink servers • 4 – 6 : 4 check out clerks to help pack and assist loading artwork. • 4 – 6 : 4 runners • 4 – 6 : 2 bathroom stewards! • SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES! • Will need to dress nicely (AND WARM – the heat’s not working) for the event, just casual. 

  11. Echoing Ridge Saturday Event • Saturday, Nov 13 • Ride along with residents to Christkindl Market! • 8:30 am to 3:30 pm • Meet them at Echoing Ridge in Canal Fulton.

  12. Humane Society • Sun, Nov 14 • 12-2 pm • PROJECT FULL! • Chair – Amanda Schmauder • AWWWWWW!

Super Service Saturday – Salvation Army Thanksgiving • Friday, November 19 • 4 to 9 pm • Decorating, preparing TURKEYS, etc! • Chair – Sarah Snyder • Saturday, November 20 • 8:30 to 12:30, 12:30 to 5, or ALL DAY! • Preparing, serving, cleaning up Thanksgiving Dinner or ticket takers, help at the craft table with kids! • Chair – Sarah Snyder

  14. Tiqvah is an afterschool program in Canton that helps children grades 1st – 9th learn to be independent by providing them with education help and helping them develop a strong faith. • Tiqvah needs LOTS of help doing various things! • 2:30 – 3:30 is student arrival/snack time. • 3:00 – 4:00 is phys ed/chapel. • 4:00 – 5:00 is homework time (and personal hygiene/tooth brushing time)! • 5:00 -6:00 is enrichment and bible time. • Plus, they have other events like a Dancing with The Stars and Community Thanksgiving! • If you are interested, sign up – I will email you the weekly schedule and volunteer guidelines. • You can email Larry and go whenever you want! • This is a great organization and if you commit, please stick with it. These kids neeeeed you! And they will be sad if you stop coming to see them.

  15. Sanders Wildlife Rehab Center • They are in need of lots of items to help care for the animals! • Please bring your spare change to throw into the bottle that will be passed around each week – money will go towards a gift card for Sanders. • Or donate one of the following items from this website for a half hour of service: http://www.starkparks.com/wildlife.asp?view=5 • Items include medical stuff, perishable food items, pet supplies, and other items.

  16. Raider Relief • Sunday, Nov 14 • T&H 100 – 5:00 pm • Help SAAC by creating the test tubes and packages to sell to raise money for wells of fresh drinking water in places where they don’t have access and suffer from diseases due to this deficiency. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVqqj1v-ZBU

  17. 74 • Is the number of brothers who have not QUITE reached 20 hours yet. • Just a reminder to push yourself! • It’s already November 9th! • We have 1262.75 hours…. but that means we have 1,373.25 hours to go until we meet 3,000! • Remember to turn in ALL outside hours you do, even if they don’t count towards your personal goal, they count towards our chapter goal! • LET’S DO THIS THANG!
