Phase 1: Outreach Material Distribution All Phase 1 counties should receive outreach materials from the Enrollment Broker before June 26, 2019 Poster: Hang in local county DSS Offices Fact Sheet: Share with beneficiaries who must enroll or may choose to enroll in a health plan through NC Medicaid Managed Care Flyer: Make available in office lobbies and at worker desks Palm Card: Give to beneficiaries as a reminder to take action Q & A: Print a copy to have on-hand to answer questions when working with beneficiaries Outreach Materials can be found on the DHB website under the Counties Tab: https://medicaid.ncdhhs.gov/county-playbook-medicaid-managed-care DSS / Medicaid Transformation Advisory Committee| June 20, 2019

Medicaid Transformation Readiness Considerations • Site Preparation • Staffing • Communications • Training • Process Changes (Mail) • Warm Transfers • Enrollment Broker • NC FAST • Helping Beneficiaries • NEMT Topics: • This is to prompt discussions for your county to consider regarding the upcoming changes to Medicaid. • An OST Rep will reach out to schedule time to discuss any open questions and concerns. • Anticipate at least 3 state check-ins by mid-September DSS / Medicaid Transformation Advisory Committee| June 20, 2019

DSS Training • Phase 1: • Began on May 28, 2019 and will end June 20, 2019 • 38 Training Sessions over 19 days • All 27 Phase 1 Counties reached • A total of 1,504 Staff have been trained as of 6/14 • Phase 2: • Phase 2 County DSS Training is planned and they will begin reaching out to counties to confirm and register participants • Slated to begin on July 8, 2019 and will conclude on August 16, 2019. • Both Phases: • DSS Recording will be posted on the Learning Gateway • Refresher trainings will be available at a later time • Logistics: • Attendees: Directors, Supervisors, Caseworkers (MA, FNS, Child Care, Call Centers, ), Administrative Assistance, Support Staff • Presenters: Enrollment Broker and The State (OST) DSS / Medicaid Transformation Advisory Committee| June 20, 2019
