  2. Background • To inform the National Center for Education Statistics on background information issues related to NAEP • Eight months into Year 1 • Ease data burden placed on states by using existing data sources

Project Goals • To add to the capacity of NCES to provide state-level indicator information to inform internal users of NAEP state reports • Create a “mega” database of several existing databases • CCSSO Annual Survey of State Student Assessment Programs • CCSSO State Education Indicators • Focus on Title I • Science and Math • CCSSO Key State Policies on K-12 Education • CCD Demographic Data • Potentially Others?

What have we accomplished in the last eight months? • Created Three Profiles • Accommodations for LEP and Students with Disabilities • State Assessment Programs • State Education Policies • Updated State Assessment testing window from SSAP for further discussion of NAEP testing window with various audiences.

  15. What we hope to accomplish in the next four months-- • Complete remaining profiles • Review the validity and expediency of our model • Quality control of data
