  5. 5 Awards Totaling $20 million Purchase and rehabilitate 10 passenger cars Equipment Component • Purchase and rebuild 5 locomotives • Equipment will support Service Expansion • Anticipated Date of Completion January 2013

  6. 8 Awarded Projects Totaling $37 million Double size of Cary Station Improvements at Burlington and Kannapolis Increase High Point Station parking spaces Expand maintenance facility in Raleigh Construct maintenance facility in Charlotte Enhance security Public Information Display Systems Station and Facilities Component

Concrete Trench for CSXT’s Mainline Track Grade Separates Norfolk Southern Mainline Tracks and CATS North Corridor Tracks Maintains Road and Rail Access to Archer Daniels Midland Facility Mainline Grade Separation Component • Awarded $129 Million of ARRA Funds and a commitment of $1 Million of “Other” FHWA Funds for a Total of $130 Million

  8. ~38 Awarded Projects Totaling $364 million 28 miles of double track 12 miles of new highway construction 18 new bridges (14 Highway) 24 at grade crossings closed Track and Structures Component

  9. Major funded corridor projects. 28 miles. New roadway grade separations and crossing closures. Railroad alignment improvements to allow future 90 mph operation. Major railroad signal system improvements. When completed, will provide double track facility from Greensboro to Charlotte. Double Track Projects
