EPIDEMIOLOGIA, RELEVANCIA CLINICA E IMPACTO EN LA SALUD PUBLICA DE LA INFECCIÓN POR HTLV-1 EN ESPAÑA Resultados II • 21 casos TSP/HAM + 6 de ATL • Mediana carga proviral HTLV-1 en TSP, ATL y HTLV-1 AC: 2917 vs 1993 vs <500 HTLV-DNA copias/ 104 PBMC. • Estudio en 20.518 embarazadas 0’19 por 1000 y 2’1 por 1000 en mujeres Z. Endémicas. Conclusiones • HTLV-1 en España en aumento, sin evidencia rápida propagación debido ola de inmigración procedente de áreas donde la infección por HTLV-1 es endémica, principalmente Sudamérica • Cribado de HTLV en embarazadas procedentes de Zona Edémica para evitar la transmisión vertical del HTLV-1.
