  3. Status Updates • Site level moves for internal/external content split have continued with 47 sites successfully moved between platforms. • 18 sites remain to be transferred after which another review of site alignment will be performed • In partnership with Marketing the new CHER, Math, and Writing Style Guide sites are published, and the new CTO has gone live as well. • Testing of new WordPress platforms has been deferred due to resourcing and other projects, but is expected to pick back up in August. • WCM support changes have been completed, and all support now goes through ServiceNow. • Phone forwarding is still being finalized • FogBugz application subscription has been discontinued

  4. Directory Update • ITS is updating the NAU Directory through a multi-quarter project. • ID.nau.edu is the application where faculty/staff can update certain pieces of their profile and upload photos. • This application is in dev now, planned launch of 8/19 pending executive approval. • Process for Directory Maintainers will be changing to facilitate an increased focus on the underlying system(s) of record. • Detailed information will be provided on a dynamic directory page that will be referenced from the WordPress interface.

  5. Training & Enterprise+ • Enterprise+ workshop schedule for Thursday, August 8 from 1-3 PM. • Main WordPress training has been updated and includes the following sections: • Global Settings: Pages, posts, media library, links, etc • Shortcodes • Integrations: Directory, Events, Academic Catalog • Please ensure all site stewards and editors are trained to current standards. • The training schedule at https://in.nau.edu/web/training/is the source for upcoming workshops and new training opportunities. • Online self-guided trainings available: https://in.nau.edu/web/online-training/ • For those in colleges, please ensure that your Site Stewards and Owners relay any changes or service requests through the assigned University Marketing PM. • ITS now provides Siteimprove support at our regular Open Labs!

  6. SiteImprove Usage • The CIO asked the Web team to allocate resources to clean up a variety of items found in SiteImprove to bolster quality assurance rankings • Over the span of approximately 100 hours, the team was able to: • Fix ~300 broken links in nau.edu, and ~1300 in in.nau.edu • Resolve 40 global spelling errors on nau.edu, and 25 on in.nau.edu • Correct catalog entries resulting in false positives • Train Marketing student workers to perform similar tasks • This resulted in an direct QA score change of 9 points on nau.edu and 14 points on in.nau.edu • The CIO continues to monitor SiteImprove reporting and is forwarding items as relevant to his peers

  7. Survey Feedback • Survey of WUC members was open from 6/10 – 7/10. Thank you again to those that responded! • Out of 30 non-ITS invites, 12 completed surveys for a response rate of 40%. • General themes within the feedback: • Appreciation for the content around projects, status updates, and sharing of information • Like the in person format, support for decreasing frequency of meetings • Allowing opportunity for participants to discuss issues/experiences with each other • Highlight featured items for in-person workshops (new shortcodes, new uses for existing tools, etc.) • We remain open to feedback and input, in particular as we start a new academic year with an operationalized enterprise environment.
