End Use Reporting • What are “End Use Reports”? • A tool for collecting statistical data • Date of clearance, condition, distribution details • A tool for collecting media • Photos, video and audio interviews. • A tool for collecting stories • Who benefitted? • A tool which increases recurrence of donation

End Use Reporting • Why do we need these reports? • Supporters • If we don’t share information will we lose them? • Auditors • Accountability and integrity. • Supports putting GIK value on your books • Donors • They want to see donations handled well • Is it reaching those in need? • Supporting corporate responsibility initiatives of Donor

End Use Reporting • Techniques for obtaining the reports (It’s not easy and there is no magic bullet) • Having succinct, easy to complete forms • Be careful not to add more to an overflowing plate • Setting the right expectations upfront • Make clear from the beginning the schedule of events • Being rhythmic, intentional and clear • Set a regular time for follow-up, anticipate questions, get to the point • Don’t feel “bad” for asking
