  2. Temperature and Enzymes Observations: (Record your observations of the reaction when hydrogen peroxide is added to raw liver puree.) Problem Statement: How does temperature affect the speed of an enzyme-catalyzed reaction? Hypothesis: If the temperature of the hydrogen peroxide is increased, then the reaction will (increase, decrease or stay the same) because (your reason). Variables: (What are the manipulated, responding and controlled variables?)

Temperature and Enzymes Procedures: • Use a graduated cylinder to put 25ml of hydrogen peroxide into a 50ml beaker. • Using tweezers, dip a filter paper disk into the liver puree. • Using tweezers, place the wet filter paper disk at the bottom of the 50ml beaker (with room temperature hydrogen peroxide). • Measure and record how many seconds it take to float to the top of the liquid. • Repeat the Steps #1-4 for cold and hot liquids.
