Certification – The definition Indiana Minority Supplier Development council Certification is a detailed process that qualifies a business of being at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by a U.S. citizen and meet the criteria based on the specific certifying entity. Companies seeking certification must be for-profit businesses.

10. Who qualifies for certification? Indiana minority supplier development council • The IMSDC is governed by the NMSDC. Qualifications for certification include: • Certification based on 25 percent ethnicity in one of the following categories: • African American • Asian Indian • Asian Pacific • Hispanic/Latino • Native American • 51 percent ownership and control of a company by a minority • U.S. citizenship
