  1. Kaizer Sheriff’s Favourite Shakespeare Plays

  2. Kaizer Sheriff fell in love with Shakespeare’s work as a college student and still makes time to read the plays despite his extremely busy schedule. Here is the first selection of some of Kaizer Sheriff’s most-loved Shakespeare plays.

  3. Kaizer Sheriff loves the story of Macbeth because it explores the capacity of human nature by telling the story of a man’s progression from good to evil. At the beginning of the tale, Macbeth is hesitant to take the life of King Duncan because he feels it is wrong. As Macbeth continues down a path of guilt and eventually total despair, the reader is reminded of the fact that humans have the capacity for both great benevolence and tremendous evil.

  4. The character of Hamlet is a story one of Kaizer Sheriff's favorite literary characters of all time. The intense story of the Prince of Denmark has the unique ability to make Kaizer Sheriff laugh at the funny moments and cry as the tragic events unfold at the end of the tale.

  5. Even though there were previous Elizabethan-era plays concerning the topic of Caesar and his time ruling the Roman Republic, Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar is the only play that explores the character of Brutus and delves into the downfall of the conspirators.

  6. Shakespeare’s comedies are known to include themes of mistaken identity to convey a societal critique, and the Twelfth Night is a prime example of his utilization of this device.

  7. The tale of the aging King Lear is highly emotional and tragic story. Kaizer Sheriff regards this play as the essence of a tragedy due to the continuous reference to the concept of “nothing," which he considers being symbolic of the way Shakespearean tragedies end.
